What You'll Do
As a DZ Truck Driver, your primary responsibility will be the handling and transportation of waste materials from the water treatment facility on Atlantic Avenue to the landfill and back. Your typical workday will be from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required for varying end times. Your role will include:
Operating a standard transmission truck equipped with a digester disposal roll-off.
Conducting pre-trip inspections and basic maintenance checks on your vehicle.
Adhering to safety and environmental regulations in all aspects of waste transportation and disposal.
Working independently, managing your daily tasks and schedule effectively.
Who You Are
We are looking for candidates who are reliable, flexible, and committed to environmental responsibility. You should have:
Minimum Requirements
Valid DZ driver's license.
Ability to start immediately.
Experience in driving standard transmission trucks.
Availability for a typical schedule of Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with flexibility for varying end times.
Residency in or near Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Bonus Requirements
Experience with roll-off trucks or in the waste management industry.
Basic mechanical skills for minor truck maintenance.
Availability for extended hours or weekend shifts as needed.
