What You'll Do: As a Cashier at Pinewood Ford, you’ll be responsible for managing all customer transactions related to vehicle services and sales, which includes processing payments, issuing receipts, and handling deposits. You will also be responsible for reconciling daily credit card transactions and managing petty cash. Additionally, you’ll be required to post work orders into the system, assist with accounts receivable, and reconcile monthly bank deposits. Part of your role involves supporting the team by providing administrative assistance, covering for colleagues when necessary, and managing various office duties such as answering phone calls, processing forms, and maintaining organized records. Your role is crucial in ensuring the smooth flow of transactions and financial accuracy within the dealership.
Who You Are: You are a detail-oriented individual with strong cash handling skills and a solid foundation in basic bookkeeping. With your prior experience in customer service, you excel at interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner. You have strong computer skills, are comfortable learning new software, and can quickly adapt to dealership management tools like the PBS system. Multitasking in a busy office setting comes naturally to you, and you take pride in being organized and efficient. Additionally, you're a proactive problem-solver who can maintain a calm demeanor even during high-pressure situations, ensuring tasks are completed with accuracy and attention to detail.
Experience in an office or administrative role, particularly in a customer-facing environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn new software.
Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact with customers and colleagues professionally.
Experience in handling cash, credit cards, and processing financial transactions.
Basic bookkeeping knowledge, including bank reconciliation and journal entries.
